The Green Power JV a private entity formed in the USA, intended to invest in renewable energy opportunities in the country. The business investment focused on two major areas: Solid Waste Management and Power generation from solid waste. Facilitation outcomes include
- Submit the Letter of Intention and Scope of Work to the Government
- Obtain approval from the line ministries and an official invitation letter for further discussion of the investment opportunity
- Facilitate and organize the initial meetings between the Private company mission and the government officials at the ministerial level (Ministry of Energy, PMO-RALG PPP group)
- Coordinate and conduct a feasibility study
- Facilitate the design of a workable memorandum of understanding for the PPP modality
The feasibility study identifies a core issue: a lack of renewable energy guidelines, which could support the Government’s engagement in the PPP and tariff negotiations through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
